Working at Halstead comes with a lot of fun office perks! Here are some of our favorite things about the Halstead office:
Office Lunches: This office loves to eat - whether it's our monthly birthday celebration, a visitor at the office for a few days, or just because! We love supporting our favorite local restaurants and bakers as much as possible for these lunches.
Friendly Work Environment: We're a fun-loving group here! In addition to our office lunches, we occasionally have the local food truck come by for a tasty way to close the day down or have a donut social in the warehouse. We also have holiday fun with egg hunts, pumpkin hunts, and holiday dress up days. Check out some of our studio and holiday shenanigans on our Instagram Reels!
Our Studio: All employees take at least a few intro to jewelry making classes so we can better understand our products and customers. They're also just a lot of fun and a great way to connect with our coworkers as we lament over our solder refusing to flow. Each month our studio coordinator, Sylvie, offers a class to employees to learn a new technique. Sometimes we'll have guest instructors, such as Melissa Muir and Eva Sherman, come in as well! Training: Professional development extends beyond the studio at Halstead. Departments invest in providing internal and external training to help us grow in our positions.
Winter Vacation: One of our favorite perks is our annual winter closure. The entire office shuts down from Christmas to New Years so we all get to spend the holidays with our families. It's a great way to wind down after the busy season!
Dog-Friendly: Our favorite employees have four legs and wet noses! As a dog-friendly office you'll see a few regulars hanging out with their humans - Mavis and Koda are the marketing mavens, Daisy helps Hilary keep an eye on the business, and Tuper is our go-to product purchaser. Percy and Eragon also occasionally make an appearance.
Family-Oriented: Halstead is a family-owned operation, so they know our priorities outside of work hours should be family. There's no overtime and managers do their best to accommodate scheduling needs to help us out when something comes up.
Profit-Sharing: Each quarter that the company is profitable all full and part-time staff members receive profit-sharing checks based on seniority, attendance, and performance. The generous bonuses can really add up.
Awesome Customers: We love seeing what our customers create! It's so inspiring and fun to see the different ways jewelers can use the same products. Some of our customers have been with us for decades and we love catching up with them through emails or on social. We also love to see all the new businesses grow!
Meeting Amazing Jewelers: Through the annual Halstead Grant and Jewelry Business Forum, we meet some amazing people in the jewelry industry! Each year our grant winner travels to Prescott and we love seeing their jewelry in person, meeting them, and sometimes taking a studio class from them.
